I arrived to my conference a few days early in order to see a few LA friends – all transplants who are living their dreams. In a place that is normally known for chaos, I was reminded about the peace and serenity that comes from family and people who love you. Spending time with Holly in Manhattan Beach was very real in an “adulting” sort of way (nod to blog post from Genevieve’s CityMomCo).
The next night I took an Lyft to meet my friends in downtown LA. On my way there I experienced a soul full of hope and excitement for his future experiences. My Lyft driver, Here.No.Evil, has the world ahead of him and he is excited to experience it. He is signing on with Universal for his DJ work (which draws hundreds of people!) and he is happily working the night shift in order to make some extra cash for his son who was home with his mama. Living the dream!

Speaking of living the dream, I met up downtown with Arie who is acting and letting her creativity explode in this city. She has ARRIVED to live her awesome life and I can’t wait to see her on the stage and on the screen. Dana, Arie & I had some really great girl time – we were experiencing inspiration from each other along with the scrumptious crab dip. The only thing missing that night was a little of Dana’s Marley B Jammin’.
Los Angeles is a city full of dreams, as long as people stop doubting themselves their dreams will come true the way the universe wants to give them. This is a place to gather those fabulous people who work for you and help them rekindle their dreams. Building teams by bringing in strong inspirational speakers tell your team that life really is fair, to focus on gratitude and choose happiness. Gather, inspire and then let your team create. Experience.
“You cannot exercise much power without gratitude because it is gratitude that keeps you connected with power.” – Wallis Wattles
